Recent ICE raids have many immigrant families worried about family members being deported. If you are worried, you can prepare yourself and your family.
Local non-profits are hosting a free and safe workshop so that you and your family can work with a lawyer to prepare your family in case someone is detained by ICE or deported:
- Fill out legal paperwork to allow a person you choose to care for your children if you are deported.
- Make a plan to protect your family’s finances and housing.
- Learn how to protect your rights if you are detained by ICE.
- Learn what will happen if you are detained by ICE.
Wednesday, May 17th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Santa Maria High School Cafeteria
